Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) in Bodrum. It is a powerful compound proven to remove toxins from the body and improve metabolism.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a powerful antioxidant as it contains two powerful antioxidant groups for each ALA molecule. One of its most important properties is that, unlike most antioxidants, it is fat-soluble and water-soluble. While this provides protection in a much wider range of physiological environments throughout the body, including the brain, most IV antioxidants cannot cross the blood-brain barrier.
At the cellular level, ALA (made by the body and found in every cell) helps convert glucose into energy and also helps recycle other antioxidants to participate in neutralizing dangerous free radicals.
In the body, normal levels of circulating ALA are relatively low, meaning that supplementation is necessary to experience the full benefits of ALA. Most of the ALA the body makes is quickly depleted, so IV supplementation of this molecule can provide significant benefits.
The SYDNEY Trial Study Group found that patients with nerve damage caused by diabetes experienced a statistically significant improvement in sensory symptoms (such as pain, burning, itching, tingling, and numbness) after receiving intravenous alpha-lipoic acid therapy. These results have not been achieved with oral supplementation. The same results were found in Germany, where it is regularly used intravenously to heal diabetic nerve damage.
Studies have shown that ALA is also important for cancer patients. ALA has the power to alter and regulate genetic expression, resulting in turning off genes that promote the development of cancer. ALA, along with Vitamin C, may support the prevention and treatment of cancer.

Diabetes and Diabetic Neuropathy
ALA has a long history of use in both diabetes and the resulting diabetic neuropathy, and has been used extensively in Germany since 1959 to treat neuropathy. Studies have shown that it can lower blood sugar, reduce insulin resistance, and relieve symptoms of nerve damage.
weight loss
ALA has been shown to have some potential as a supportive supplement for weight loss by reducing an enzyme – known as AMPK – that increases feelings of hunger and also increases the number of calories the body burns at rest.
Memory
Some studies suggest that the extremely potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of ALA may slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
Inflammation
Inflammation plays an important role in many, if not all, disease processes. Things like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes are all linked to inflammation. The antioxidant effects of ALA neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress, leading to lower C-reactive protein levels (a major marker of inflammation), lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, and lower triglycerides.
Nerves and Carpal Tunnel
ALA supplementation slows the progression of carpal tunnel syndrome and improves outcomes of carpal tunnel surgery.
